Amarjit Singh Anamika Girdhar is presently working as a professor of history in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. He was born in the early 60s in Tohana, Haryana, India. He has completed his Bachelor of Arts from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India with a gold medal. In continuation, he has finished in Master of Arts (History) from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India with university medal. From Panjab University, Chandigarh, India he completed his Master of Philosophy with Distinction prior pursuing his Doctorate of Philosophy from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. He has almost a three decades of teaching and research experience.
He has published more than 32 articles which include 19 International Journals and 7 Conferences. He has extensively published 6 books which have been highly acclaimed in the academic world and are in wide circulation across the world. The world-renowned academic website – OCLC WorldCat Identities – has provided him with an identification regarding the circulation of my books with the title, “Most widely held works by Amarjit Singh”. Under his research supervision, 14 students were awarded Doctorate of Philosophy and 9 are in progress; 54 students were awarded Master of Philosophy and 11 are in progress. He has delivered more than 23 guest lectures and more than 18 keynote speeches in various predominant stages. He has attended more than 40 conferences. He has exhibited an extensive academic administrative experience throughout his career.
He is a member of Indian History Congress, Punjab History Conference, Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sanklan Yojana, New Delhi and associated with European Scientific Institute. He was awarded by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sikh Samarday Bharat in November 2014. The Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, His Excellency Professor Kaptan Singh Solanki presented the Academic Excellence Award in September 2017. He has been awarded Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rashtriya Puraskar and One of The Best Teacher of The Country Award by the Global Management Council, Ahmedabad in May 2018. He was also presented with Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution and achievement in Indian history in November 2017. He his happily married to Anamika Girdhar since 1993 and has a son.
