Dr Hesham Suleiman Alyousef (Academician, researcher, Author, Writer) received MA in 2007 from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD in 2014 from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Dr Hesham published three book chapters and some refereed journal papers, including ISI and Scopus. He currently lectures and supervises some postgraduate students at the Department of English and Literature at King Saud University. He also works as an editor and a reviewer for many referred journals listed in ISI and Scopus. He has overall 30+ years of ESL/EFL teaching experience. His university has awarded dr Hesham for his Excellence in Scientific Research on 22nd May 2014. He has also been cited in Marquis Who’s Who in the World in the years 2013-2018. He is a member in many associations, such as TESOL Arabia (since 2009), American Educational Research Association (AERA) (since 2005), and North American Systemic Functional Linguistics Association (NASFLA) (since 10 May 2012). His research interests include systemic functional linguistics, multimodal discourse analysis, academic literacies, metadiscourse, reading comprehension research, assessment and evaluation tools for ESL/EFL students and the use of Web 2.0 technology in higher education.
