Jayshree Soni was born at Himmatnagar, Gujarat, India in 1984. She is a well know food security analyst who secures Gold Medal in Diploma in Management. She has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application. She is a double Doctorate in Political Science and Management Science. She pursed Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science with the University Fellowship. Her research title in Political Science was “An Analytical Study on the Food and Agriculture Organization- Specialized agency of UNO”. Her research title in Management Science was “A Study On The Potential of AgroIndustries To Achieve Food Security In Rural India”.

Her strong in research has taken here to a greater height where her research articles have been accepted and published in various esteemed conferences and journals across the world. She has published four books in Gender violence and Food Security. Her broad scope of knowledge helped in publishing two books on Inter-Governmental Operations “A Study on the Role of FAO (UN Agency in BRICS Countries)” and “Book on Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)”. She has also published a book chapter “Politics and Administrative System” edited by Dr Janak Singh Meena which enlights the challenges of Indian Democracy. She has won numerous meritorious positions in various events during her college days. She has won the first position continuously in the essay writing competition during her college days. She has also undergone the training organised by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Department, Department of Women and Child Development, Food and Nutrition Board. She has been shortlisted for Post-Doctoral Fellowship by University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.

Alongside she is a self-sustained entrepreneur running a coaching centre since 2015. She is happily married to Sanjay Kumar Soni with Daughter. With her wide research and acquired knowledge, she has been nominated many times for World Food Programme (WFP) which is a renowned humanitarian organisation that aims to fight hunger worldwide by providing food assistance in emergencies and by working with communities to improve nutrition. She has been jointly working with the World Food Programme (WFP) to end hunger and provide food security and nutrition by 2030. She has served in various positions in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) which is a United Nations Organization headquarter in Rome, Italy.

Her hobbies include reading books and social welfare works.

About Affiliation

Jai Narain Vyas University, formerly known as University of Jodhpur. University of Jodhpur I was Established in 1962, and following four Government Colleges of Jodhpur became part of the University.

I. MBM Engineering College (Now Faculty of Engineering & Architecture (11 Department)),
II. Jaswant College (now Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies with 04 Departments),
III. S.M.K. College (now Faculty of Law and Campus of Institute of Evening Studies and also being used presently for Under graduate teaching of Faculty of Arts. This also houses Coaching Centre for Weaker Sections),
IV. K.N. College for Women (The multi-faculty constituent college of the University).

Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the President of India inaugurated the then University of Jodhpur on 24th August, 1962. In his inaugural address the Hon’ble President revered Prof. Radha Krishnan desired and defined the goals and objective “That the young people, who will be educated in this university , will go forward not as prisoners of the past, but as pilgrims of the future; will develop in them a spirit of dedication, a spirit of renunciation, a spirit of whole-hearted, single-minded concentration on the advancement of the knowledge, whether in science or humanities.”

This was the only residential University in the State of Rajasthan, catering mainly the needs of students of western Rajasthan (the Marwar). Since, this University is located in the great Indian Thar Desert, its R&D activities centered on heritage, society and challenges of the region. This is the Western most University of the country and imparts education and conducts research in border areas neighboring Pakistan. It is our endeavor to provide education not only to citizens of the Desert/border Districts but also to the wards of Defence/Paramilitary forces and other Organizations which are working in strategically important sectors of the country.

Jai Narain Vyas University is now a divisional university for western part of the Rajasthan State.
