Muralidharan Velappan is presently working as a Research Scholar at AMET University, Chennai, India. He is currently perusing his Doctor of Philosophy in biotechnology at AMET University, Chennai, India. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Drug Designing & Patenting from Bioinformatics Institute of India, Noida, New Delhi in 2015. In 2013 he did his masters from Vinayaka Mission University, Salem, India with the specialisation of Microbiology. To the baseline, he had his Bachelor of Clinical Microbiology from Punjab Technical University in 2010.
He has extensive professional experience as Pharmacy Tutor and Pharmacy Lecturer at Southern College of Medical Technology, Saidapet, Chennai, India and Sri Ambal Academy Group of Institutions, Chennai, India respectively. He has delivered numerous lectures on pharmaceutical sciences as per approved course curriculum. He has engaged and motivated students in classroom discussions to achieve healthy academic goals. He has also presented various lectures on pathophysiology, drug therapy and drug monitoring.
He has received Best Investigator Award (HAR GOBIND KHORANA) on 15th September 2018 at Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu, India during the 8th NACON 2018. He has also received IARDO Outstanding Research Scholar Award on 28th October 2018 during the International Award Conference on Multidisciplinary Research and Latest Innovation which happed at The International Centre, Panjim, Goa, India.
He has continuously undergone various research training and workshops within India. He has presented his research findings in oral and poster formats globally. He is a life member Laboratory Animal Scientists Association, Tarnaka, Secundrabad and Bose Science Society Tamil Nadu Scientific Research Organization, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi, India. He is also a member of Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society APCBEES. He is the Editorial member of Acta Scientific Pharmaceutical Sciences Journal.
He is happily married to Usha Muralidharan since 2000 with a son. He enjoys jogging and light music.
