Dr Roshan Makam Viswanath, an Engineer, Scientist and an Educator, is the Director of the Center for Sustainable Green Energy. He brings 25+ years of vast and rich experience in industry and academia. He is a Professor and Ex-Chairperson of the Biotechnology Department at PES University. He is multi-disciplined in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. He has been very instrumental in getting the MoA and MoU between PES University and Arizona State University. He has obtained grants to the tune of Rs. 49.18 lakhs from Department of Biotechnology, Government of India for developing processes for Algal Biofuels. He is specialized in Bio-manufacturing of Energy and Biopharmaceutical Processes. He is the editor of Bioinformatics Reviews and SOJ Journal of Chromatography. He also reviews Elsevier Journals such as Biochemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Mathematical Biology, Journal of Theoretical Biology, Chemical Engineering Journal, Water Research and Water and Environment Research. He has been awarded for his reviews as an “Outstanding Reviewer of Biochemical Engineering Journal”. He is the recipient of Albert Nelson’s Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2017, 2018 and 2019. He is listed in Who’s Who in Science and Engineering – 2016-2017, 12th Edition (pub. 2016), Who’s Who in Science and Engineering – 2011-2012, 11th Edition (pub. 2010), Who’s Who in the World – 2016, 33rd Edition (pub. 2016), Who’s Who in the World – 2015, 32nd Edition (pub. 2014) , Who’s Who in the World – 2014, 31st Edition (pub. 2013), and Who’s Who Industry Leaders – 2017.
