Dr Vijayan Gurumurthy Iyer b. 13 March 1965 (54 years Old), Mayuram, Tamil Nadu. Has passed Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ (Mechanical Engineering) examinations of Institution of Engineers (India) in the years 1986 and 1990 respectively after passing three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Ramakrishna Mission Technical Institute, Chennai during 1979-1982. Has got additional technical qualifications such as (i) Diploma in Production Management from Annamalai University in 1988, (ii) Post Diploma in Automobile Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, Mumbai in 1992 and (iii) Master of Technology in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1997. For being a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering in 2003, he was awarded D.Sc.(Engg.) and LL.D. (Hon.) by The Yorker International University in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He has enrolled himself Honorary Doctorate of Letters in International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, Great Britain in 2017. He was awarded Fellow of AIMA by All India Management Association, New Delhi in August 2007. Received Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) by World Science and Engineering Academy & Society (WSEAS), Greece in 17th July 2006 and PDF elaborator in 01.09.2009 to 30 06.2010 for the Main Researcher, WSEAS Ecology and Ecosystems. Has served as Officer in Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)/Government of India Service with effect from 22.05.1985 to 10.02.1998 and served as Professor and Main Researcher in Institute of Technology, Haramaya University (FDRE), Alemaya Ethiopia, East Africa since 17.01.2014 to 10.02.2015. He has more than 34 years’ experience in Research, Academics, Industry, Field Work, Consultancy Services, Training and Extension, Government, Educational and Private Organizations. Has been coordinating and counselling Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Business Development (DEBM) programme of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. Has served as Professor and Dean (R &D) with effect from 21.09.2015 (FN) to 07.04.2018 (AN) in Narasaraopeta Engineering College. He has served as Professor in Civil Engineering in Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) Deemed University wef. 23.06.2018 (FN) to 02.02.2019. He is a fellow and member of 10 national and 9 international professional societies. He has 30 awards including recognition and distinctions. He has published 216 research papers which included 45 publications in high impact factor SCI and SSCI journals, and 95 book chapters with ISSN/ISBN, three e.books published by international publishers and 73 conference abstracts prospective proceedings, editor/chair for five international conference proceedings, CD-ROM and five plenary lectures with ISSN/ISBN. The academic performance index score is 1668.5 points. His publications were research cited index having 450 journal citation indexes including JCI and CPCI and more than 2000 citations. Reviewer and Editor/editorial board member of more than twenty number of high impact factor SCI international and national journals and conference proceedings. He has reviewed more than twenty manuscripts that were published in national and international journals. He has visited countries viz. China, Ethiopia, Greece, Singapore and Thailand.
